If an application is incomplete
An eligible employee who has not completed enrollment may not have active coverage.
Follow up before the deadline and determine whether the employee:
Intends to enroll
Is covered through another source
Needs assistance
Started but did not submit the application
Is waiting for documents or carrier action
Intends to opt out
Document the outcome and any required election or opt-out information.
Eligibility for an ICHRA allowance does not establish active individual health insurance coverage.
If information is incorrect
Report errors as soon as they are identified. Common corrections include:
Misspelled name or incorrect date of birth
Incorrect residential address
Missing or incorrect dependents
Incorrect requested effective date
Incorrect plan selection
Missing carrier information
Some corrections can be made before an application is finalized. Others may require carrier review, cancellation, or a new application.
Do not submit a second application unless directed to do so. Duplicate applications can delay processing and create conflicting coverage records.
If an employee wants to change plans
An employee cannot switch individual health insurance plans at will. Outside open enrollment, a plan change requires an available special enrollment period or another permitted enrollment opportunity.
Do not cancel existing coverage until the new policy's effective date and enrollment requirements have been confirmed. Canceling coverage too early can create a coverage gap.
For an incomplete application, enrollment status question, correction, or possible coverage gap, contact Lirvion Support before submitting a duplicate application or canceling existing coverage.
